Make the Most of winter in Montreal

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

Winter in Montreal means a variety of outdoor activities to be thoroughly enjoyed. Slip on your hat and mittens, and prepare to bring out your inner child!

The Fête des neiges de Montréal
The Fête des neiges has become synonymous with Montreal winters! The event takes place at parc Jean-Drapeau over the course of three weekends, from January 21 to February 5, 2012.  All sorts of activities are offered within a festive atmosphere: tubing, ziplining, street and ice hockey, snow scootering, and ice-skating along the river.

The Snowvillage

Also at parc Jean-Drapeau, from January 6 to March 31, 2012, you can experience a unique concept: the Snowvillage. Notably featured will be replicas of Montreal buildings and illuminated passageways made of snow to roam through. At the heart of the village, a hotel, a restaurant, a bar, igloos, a chapel, and even a convention centre. All made entirely of ice and snow!

Mont Royal Park

Mount Royal Park remains a favourite spot for winter activities or simply for breathing in the air and enjoying the scenery. Among the activities are tubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, outdoor ice-skating (with lighting and music), etc. All equipment needed for activities are available to rent. Consult the calendar of events.

So there’s plenty to do to make the most of winter, no matter where your Studio Meublé studio or apartment is located.

Happy winter !
