How about getting some fresh air and partying outdoors? Two festivals invite you to get the full Montreal winter experience in January and February!

Igloofest- 6th Edition

Your Studio Meublé accommodations are very likely to be located right by a metro station. On January 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 , hop on to the closest metro station and get off at Champ-de-Mars or Place d’Armes station. You will find yourself at a 5 minutes’ walk from the Jacques-Cartier Pier in the Old Port of Montreal, where you will enjoy the Igloofest experience.

From 6:30 p.m. to midnight, individuals 18 and over are invited to come dance and groove to the beat with some of the best electronic music DJ’s. Dress warmly and you’ll be all set for a beautiful evening of pleasure with a festive atmosphere sure to heat you up. Maybe you’ll even feel daring enough to participate in the one-piece snowsuit competition?

Montréal en lumière (Montreal High Lights Festival)- 13 th Edition

The Montréal en lumière Festival helps keep the celebrations alive for partygoers from February 16 to 26 with an eclectic blend of performing arts (music, circus, song, theatre, and dance), fine cuisine, outdoor activities, etc. The heart of the festival is the outdoor site located at Place des Festivals, in the Quartier des Spectacles (the entertainment district). To wind down this 13th edition, the public is invited to pull an all-nighter (nuit blanche)! To help keep you awake, take part in a course of 180 fun activities (mostly free) with free shuttle service.

Montreal, Circus Capital of the World!

Cirque du Soleil

The reputation of Cirque du Soleil is firmly established. A show to see is Dralion, a combination of eastern and western acrobatic prowess, from Dec. 18-30. As of April 19, 2012, the 32nd creation of Cirque du Soleil, Cirque 2012 (tentative title), is set to debut on the quays of the Old Port of Montreal. Cirque Éloize : Returns Home

The cirque Éloize is back in Montreal for a final series of performances of Rain – comme une pluie dans tes yeux. The troupe will perform at Monument National, from Dec. 6-30. This show is a blend of circus arts, theatre, music, and dance, covering themes of childhood, freedom and family. Get your tickets today !

C!RCA : Visitors from Far Away !

As part of the Montréal en lumière festival, the Australian company C!RCA will present its self-titled show. In a performance where dance and circus arts merge, the artists explore the balance of power between man and woman. Dancers and acrobats display their talents to the music of Jacques Brel, Leonard Cohen, Radiohead, etc. A must-see creation !
